Five Eagles Score in Win Over Holy Cross

Three Eagles had two points each, Alexie Guay notched her first career goal.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 6/7 Boston College women's hockey team skated to a 5-1 win over Holy Cross on Friday afternoon at Kelley Rink. Five different Eagles scored in the Hockey East contest while Kelly Browne, Lindsay Agnew and Hadley Hartmetz each finished with two points and Alexie Guay notched her first career goal.
The Eagles struck twice less than 30 seconds apart early in the opening frame to hold a 2-0 lead at the first intermission. BC then sandwiched goals from Guay and Savannah Norcross around a Holy Cross strike, before Willow Corson closed out the scoring early in the third period.
Maddy McArthur finished with 13 saves for the Eagles in picking up her fifth win of the season while Jada Brenon stopped 39 shots for Holy Cross. Holy Cross kept BC to 0-for-5 on the power play while BC didn't commit any penalties.

- 1st, 04:17 | 1-0, BC GOAL: On the left side of the zone, Delaney Belinskas shoveled the puck off the wall for Browne to skate on to and pick up before wristing a shot inside the upper corner of the net.
- 1st, 4:41 | 2-0, BC GOAL: Browne picked the puck off on in the circle and sent a pass low to Hannah Bilka. The freshman gathered the puck and went up high on Brenon.
- 2nd, 9:18 | 3-0, BC GOAL: Agnew entered the zone and crept down the right side of the slot before centering a pass to Guay in the left circle where she wristed the puck into the upper right corner of the net.
- 2nd, 9:45 | 3-1, HC GOAL: After the puck deflected high off of a skate, Sommer Ross picked it up in the high slot and sent in a low shot inside the right post.
- 2nd, 12:06 | 4-1, BC GOAL: At the right post, Agnew was able to redirect Cayla Barnes' point shot back across the empty crease where Norcross poked it in.
- 3rd, 5:51 | 5-1, BC GOAL: Hartmetz sent a pass from the edge of the right circle back across the zone, and Corson was able to crash and put the puck past Brenon through traffic.
- BC is 5-0-0 in the all-time series with a mark of 3-0-0 at the Hart Center and 2-0-0 at Kelley Rink … head coach Katie Crowley is 5-0-0 against Holy Cross.
- This marked the first time that BC did not commit a penalty in a game since Feb. 28, 2015 in an 8-0 win over Providence.
- Kelly Browne now has a team-leading 12 points in games against the Crusaders with five goals and seven assists …. Browne logged her fourth multi-point game of the season and eighth of her career … she leads the Eagles in assists with nine … she has now assisted on three game-winning goals this season.
- Hannah Bilka extended her point streak to six games ... she scored her third game-winning goal of the season … she has a team-leading 12 points on eight goals and four assists.
- Alexie Guay scored her first career goal … Guay extended her point streak to four games ... the freshman now has one goal and four assists for five points.
- Savannah Norcross extended her point streak to four games with her second period tally ... she now has seven points on five goals and two assists, all career bests.
- This marked the first career multi-point game for Hadley Hartmez.
- Fifteen Eagles now have at least one point while 11 Eagles have multiple points
- This is the second time in program history that the Eagles have opened up a season with seven consecutive wins (the 2015-16 team opened up with 40 consecutive wins).
