Eagles Travel to Harvard Friday Before ACC Opener on Sunday

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The undefeated Boston College women's tennis team will take its 5-0 record to Harvard on Friday night (Feb. 1) for a 7 p.m. match against the Crimson. The Eagles then return to the Heights on Sunday (Feb. 3) to host No. 17 Syracuse in the ACC opener at 11 a.m. Live results from the Syracuse match are available at BCEagles.com.

WEEKEND RECAP
Boston College improved to 5-0 this past Sunday afternoon, pulling out a 5-2 victory over Yale at the Flynn Recreation Complex. Jackie Urbinati, Dasha Possokhova and Laura Lopez proved to be the difference in singles after the Eagles and Bulldogs were tied 2-2. On Saturday, BC swept Bryant and Marist with a pair of 7-0 home victories. The Eagles won 11 of their 12 singles matches in straight sets and took five of the six doubles matchups. It marked BC's third win over an Ivy League opponent this season.

SCOUTING REPORT
Harvard is 4-0 entering Friday's match after sweeping Fordham and Marist last Sunday in Cambridge. Last year, the Eagles earned a 6-1 victory at the Murr Center as four of the six singles matches went to a third set. The Orange is also undefeated at 4-0 this season after neutral site wins over No. 9 Michigan and Purdue last weekend. BC traveled to Syracuse last season in mid-February and fell 5-2.
