
Molly Schaus '11 to be Inducted into Women's Beanpot Hall of Fame

The three-time Bertagna Trophy Award winner helped the Eagles to three tournament titles.
WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Boston College women's hockey alumna Molly Schaus '11 will be inducted into the Women's Beanpot Hall of Fame on Tuesday, Feb. 12, as announced Wednesday by Hockey East.
Schaus, Harvard's Liza Ryabkina Jordan and Northeastern's Linda Lundrigan will be inducted into the Hall of Fame Class of 2019 prior to the Women's Beanpot championship game at Harvard's Bright-Landry Center.
Schaus was a two-time All-American goalkeeper for Boston College from 2006-11. On three occasions (2007, 2009 and 2011), she earned the Beanpot Bertagna Award as the tournament's top goaltender and last year was named to the 40th Anniversary All-Women's Beanpot Team
A native of Natick, Mass., Schaus was a two-time member of the United States Olympic team that captured silver medals in 2010 and 2014 and was also a four-time gold medalist with Team USA at the IIHF World Championship. Schaus was inducted into the Varsity Club Hall of Fame this past fall. Schaus will also have her Boston College jersey retired on Friday, Feb. 15 when the Eagles host Maine.
Boston College will face Harvard on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 8 p.m. at the Bright-Landry Center, kicking off the quest for a fourth consecutive Beanpot title.
