Five Eagles Named to U.S. Rivalry Series Roster

Katie Burt ’18, Alex Carpenter ’16, Emily Pfalzer ’15, Haley Skarupa ’16 and Dana Trivigno ’16 will represent the U.S. in the series vs. Canada

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Five former Boston College women's hockey players were named to the U.S. Women's National Team roster for a three-game Rivalry Series next month against Canada, USA Hockey announced this week.

Katie Burt '18, Alex Carpenter '16, Emily Pfalzer '15, Haley Skarupa '16 and Dana Trivigno '16 will represent the U.S. in the series. All five Eagles have been playing professionally this season, with four suiting up in the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL) and Carpenter skating for the Shenzhen KRS Vankey Rays in the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL).

Burt, Carpenter, Pfalzer and Trivigno most recently attended the USWNT Winter Training Camp in December while Pfalzer was also on the 2018 Four Nations Cup-winning squad. Pfalzer and Skarupa were a part of the gold-medal winning U.S. National team at the 2018 Olympics in PyeongChang.

The rivals will square off on Feb. 12 in London, Ontario, Feb. 14 in Toronto, Ontario and Feb. 17 in Detroit, Mich.
