Eagles Host Three Home Matches This Weekend

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The 2-0 Boston College women's tennis team hosts three matches this weekend at the Flynn Recreation Complex. The Eagles face Bryant (10 a.m.) and Marist (3:30 p.m.) in a doubleheader on Saturday (Jan. 26), followed by a matchup with Yale on Sunday (Jan. 27) at 2 p.m.

Last season, the Eagles beat Yale 7-0 and Bryant 5-0 but did not face Marist. Live results of the Sunday match against Yale are available at BCEagles.com.

OPENING MATCHES
Boston College earned 6-1 wins over Dartmouth and Brown at home to begin the 2019 spring season last week. The Eagles won all but one singles match and earned victories in two of the three doubles pairings against both Ivy League schools. BC's top three singles players all won in straight sets against Brown on Tuesday.Â

Five different Eagles (Kylie Wilcox, Yufei Long, Jackie Urbinati, Natasha Irani, and Laura Lopez) are 2-0 in singles thus far, while the doubles teams of Wilcox/Urbinati and Long/Lopez are both undefeated. Long and Irani have yet to lose a game in singles competition, as Irani won her first match 6-0, 6-0 against Dartmouth.

BC travels to face Harvard next Friday, Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. before hosting Syracuse in the ACC opener on Sunday, Feb. 3 at 11 a.m.
