Skiing Wraps Up UNH Carnival in Slalom

FRANCONIA, N.H. – The BC ski team competed in the slalom competition on day two of the UNH Carnival on Saturday at Cannon Mountain.

Rookie Trent Gutstein was the top Boston College skier in the slalom, posting 38th place for the men's squad with a combined time of 1:53.25. Senior captain Aaron Taylor was 41st with a similar time (1:53.46), and Chris Bertram (1:57.36) took 47th overall.

On the women's side, Natalie Wetmore was 43rd with a combined time of 2:09.41, while captain Amanda Steffey (2:12.82) and Kelsie Grant (2:13.06) placed 45th and 46th respectively.

The Eagles are off next weekend before traveling to Vermont for the UVM Carnival at Stowe Mountain Resort on Feb. 1-2.
