Brown, Reineke Named Eagles of the Week

Reineke second at NEISAs, Brown leads Eagles to win at Wake Forest
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College sophomore skipper Sophia Reineke and redshirt sophomore Anthony Brown have been named Nissan Eagles of the Week following their performances last week.

Reineke took second place at the New England Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association Singlehanded Championships on Saturday and Sunday. The skipper placed sixth, first, first, eighth, second, third, third, fourth, second, seventh and seventh en route to her 44-point second place finish. Reineke bested her 55-point, fifth-place finish as a freshman in the 2017 NEISA Singlehanded Championships.

In the Eagles' 41-34 win over Wake Forest on Thursday night, Brown threw for a career-best 304 yards and five touchdowns. Brown, who was 16-for-25, completed passes to six different receivers, four of which scored touchdowns. The Cliffwood, N.J. native completed his first 10 pass attempts in the game. Brown leads the nation in passing efficiency (240.2) and is ninth in the country in passing touchdowns (9). He is one of two BC quarterbacks in school history to have thrown five or more touchdowns in a game without an interception (Doug Flutie).
