Team Sailing Places Sixth At National Championships

The Boston College sailing team placed sixth at the LaserPerformance Team Race National Championship on the Elizabeth River hosted by Old Dominion University on Monday. This is the second spring college sailing national championship, with BC already winning the women's championship last week. The Coed Sailing competition began today.

The BC team finished 14-8 to finished sixth behind Stanford. The College of Charleston won the title with a 20-5 record. Roger Williams placed second at 19-8 and Hobart And Smith placed third at 19-8. Georgetown was fourth at 19-8.

Those competing for the Eagles were: senior Scott Sinks, senior Lizzie Bohan, junior Wade Waddell, senior Megan Bamford, freshman Sophia Reineke, junior Tara Ferraris, junior Emma Perry and junior Peter Lynn.
