Duca, McCabe Set to Compete at NCAA East Preliminary

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Two members of the Boston College women's track & field team will compete at the 2018 NCAA Division I Women's Track and Field East Preliminary, set for May 24-26 at USF Track & Field Stadium in Tampa.

Paige Duca will compete in the 3,000m steeplechase, while Molly McCabe will race in the 800m run.

Duca placed fourth in the 3,000m steeplechase at the ACC Outdoor Championship, clocking a time of 10:15.68. She finished second in the steeple at the Penn Relays with a time of 10:09.55 - currently the 14th-fastest time in the East. During the indoor season, Duca earned second team All-America honors indoors, racing in the mile at the NCAA Championship.

McCabe's best time of season came on April 29 at the Seahawk Invitational, placing second in a time of 2:07.40. It marks the third consecutive season that McCabe has advanced to the NCAA East Preliminary championship in the 800m run.
