
Eagles Pick Up Victory over Notre Dame, 4-3

The Boston College women's tennis team defeated Notre Dame, 4-3, on The Heights on Friday afternoon. The Eagles are now 4-8 in the conference and 12-9 overall. It was the first win against Notre Dame in 15 matches.
We had never beaten ND (0-14 lifetime) until today. Elene clinched/won the deciding match.
"I am so happy for our players,'' said BC head coach Nigel Bentley. "They have worked so hard and really earned this win. It seems every match with Notre Dame is super close and today was no different. This was a total team victory and I know we all are very excited."
Boston College first singles Asiya Dair defeated Allison Miller, 6-7 (6), 6-1 6-4 while No. 2 singles Kylie Wilcox won her match, 7-6 (3), 6-4.
The Eagles lost the No.3, No. 4 and No. 5 singles matches but bounced back with No. 6 singles player Elene Tsokilaud, who defeated Caroline Dunleavy, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 in the last singles match.
In doubles action. Boston College won two out the three matches. Kylie Wilcox and Dasha Possokhova defeated Brooke Borada and Zoe Spence, 6-2, in the No. 1 doubles match. The Eagles lost the No. 2 doubles spot but earned a win at No. 3 as Asiya Dair and Natasha Irani won, 7-6 (2).
