Bell Claims ACC Lacrosse Weekly Honor

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Senior defender Carly Bell was recognized by the Atlantic Coast Conference on Tuesday for her stand-out performance on Saturday as the No. 2 Boston College lacrosse team posted an 18-8 road win at No. 16 Duke.

Bell was a central factor in the Eagles' defense that limited the Blue Devils' leading scorer and point-getter – Charlotte North – to no points and only one shot on the afternoon. Additionally, the Eagles' defense held Duke's top three point-getters to a single assist combined between them.

Additionally, Bell posted a career-high three caused turnovers in the road win, and also added a draw control as the Eagles held the nation's top draw control team to just 14 on the day.

The second-ranked Boston College lacrosse team (14-0, 5-0 ACC) returns to action at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, when the Eagles host Dartmouth in the team's final non-conference game of the season.
