
Eagles Claim First ACC Win over Clemson

Women's tennis clinched the match before the Tigers could put up a point
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's tennis team clinched its first ACC victory over No. 44 Clemson, 4-3, in four points.

"Every match in the ACC is so tough and beating Clemson is a great win for us," said head coach Nigel Bentley. "Jackie and Elene won the deciding doubles match and that gave us momentum heading into the singles. In singles, we fought really hard and played some terrific tennis."

After a Clemson's ranked doubles pairing notched a win from the No. 1 position, the Eagles rallied to take the doubles point and claim the match advantage.

Big wins by sophomore Kylie Wilcox, freshman Natasha Irani and junior Jackie Urbinati clinched an Eagles' victory in four points.

Up next, the Eagles continue in ACC play, hosting Louisville Friday, March 23 at 11 a.m. The match will be played in Flynn Recreation Complex.
