Ailin Li Placed Eighth At The Meadows Tournament

Boston College placed 12th overall at the Meadow Club Women's Intercollegiate in Fairfax, California last week. The Eagles bested 70th ranked Michigan and 80th ranked Idaho in the team results.

The tournament was played at Meadow Club Country Club which is a par 72 (6,1257 yards). It ran from March 5-6.

Boston College shot a 302 in the first round and a 307 in the second round, which left the Eagles tied with Cal Poly in 12th at 609. Washington won the event at -3 (283, 290 – 573) while San Francisco was tied in second with Oregon State at +4.

Junior Ailin Li was the Eagles top finisher tied in eighth place. She was even par on both days (144). Li had six birdies and 24 pars in the two-day tournament.

Junior Katie Kim, who played as an individual, had a solid tournament and finished tied in 18th at +3 as she shot a 78 and a season-low 69 (147). She had a tournament high 10 birdies along with 24 pars in the two-day tournament.

Rookie Bibilani Lui finished tied in 41st as she was +8 (76, 76 – 152).

BC seniors Katie Barrand, Kately Reynolds and rookie Lauren Kim all tied in 70th at +13.
