How It Happened
Boston College erased a 15-point first half deficit, outscoring Pittsburgh, 49-24, in the second half en route to an 81-58 win at the Petersen Events Center.

BC started the game missing its first seven shots and trailed 8-0 to start the game. A Ky Bowman layup with 10:00 to play in the half made it 15-12. Pitt then started a 13-1 run to extend its lead to 15, at 28-13 with 7:17 left in the period.

The Eagles countered with a 19-4 run, tying the game with 49 seconds left in the half on two Nik Popovic free throws. Pitt led 34-32 at the break.

An 11-0 run to start the second half gave Boston College the lead for good, building a 10-point lead - 50-40 - on a Jerome Robinson jumper with 13:37 to play. The Eagles never let up, shooting 61.3% (19-31) in the second half, building as much as a 23-point advantage.

Jerome Robinson led all scorers with 27 points - 25 coming in the second half. He connected on 11-of-18 shots from the floor to go with four assists and two assists in 29 minutes.
Robinson was limited to two points in 12 minutes in the first half. During a 13-minute stretch, he scored 23 of BC's 27 points, including 15 straight points.
Jordan Chatman finished with 17 points, connecting on five 3-pointers. He added six rebounds, two assists, and three steals.
Vin Baker came off the bench to score a career-high 11 points - nine coming in the first half. The freshman connected on 3-of-7 shots from the floor - including 2-of-4 3FG. He added two rebounds and an assist.
Ky Bowman had nine points, six rebounds seven assists, and three steals.
Nik Popovic corralled a career-high 14 rebounds (6 offensive/8 defensive) to go with none points and an assist.
Steffon Mitchell had nine points, five assists and two steals.
BC shot 43.9% from the floor (29-66), including 9-of-29 from beyond the arc. The Eagles converted 14-of-17 from the foul line.
Boston College scored 14 second-chance points on 18 offensive boards.
The Eagles dished out 19 assists on 29 made field goals, tying for the season-high. BC also had 19 helpers vs. Dartmouth earlier this year.
The Eagles dominated the glass, 43-22, including an 18-2 advantage on the offensive glass.

Notables

The win snaps a 23-game road losing streak in ACC play, dating back to March 2, 2015.
The win also snaps an 11-game slide versus Pittsburgh, dating back to Jan. 5, 2002 and it was the first win at Pittsburgh since Feb. 22, 1994 - an 80-77 victory at Fitzgerald Field House.
There were two ties and one lead change in the game.
