The Boston College women's basketball team is currently 7-1, the best start for the program since the 2015-16 season. The Eagles are averaging 80.8 points per game, third best in the ACC.
This week BC will host Bryant on Thursday (7 p.m.), followed by No. 14 Minnesota on Sunday (2 p.m.) at Conte Forum.
The Eagles are coming off a 74-60 victory over Columbia on Sunday afternoon. Junior Georgia Pineau led the team with 16 points and nine rebounds, while sophomore Sydney Lowery pitched in with 13 points.
BC vs. BRYANT
- This will be the fifth meeting between Boston College and Bryant.
- BC leads the overall series, 4-0.
- BC and Bryant have three common opponents – BU, Providence and Holy Cross. BC has beat Holy Cross and lost to Providence. The Eagles will host BU on Dec. 16. Bryant has lost to Providence and BU, and will host Holy Cross on Dec. 30.
- Last year, Boston College defeated Bryant, 65-42, behind 15 points and eight rebounds from Georgia Pineau. The Eagles held Bryant to just eight points in the second quarter and had a 35-21 lead at the half.
- Bryant is coming off a 72-64 loss to Providence on Sunday. Sydney Holloway led the Bulldogs with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

- Junior Georgia Pineau was named Eagle of the Week after leading Boston College past Columbia, 74-60, on Sunday with 16 points and nine rebounds. The forward has scored in double-digits in five of eight games. She is third on the team in scoring (10 ppg.) and second in rebounding (6.1 rpg.).
- Freshman Marnelle Garraud leads the ACC in free throw percentage (91.7%) and three-point field goal percentage (50%). She is also 21st in the nation in both categories.
- Boston College leads the ACC in rebounds per game (47.13) and is fourth in the country. The Eagles are also fourth in the conference in total assists and 18th in the nation.
- Junior Taylor Ortlepp is currently second in the ACC and 12th in the country in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.64). She leads the Eagles in assists and is third in the conference (5.0 apg.).
- The Eagles 7-1 start is the best start for the program since the 2015-16 team went 11-1.
- In the last three games, Marnelle Garraud is 14-for-14 from the foul line.
- Freshman Clara Ford is getting the most out of her minutes. The 6-foot-3 center is averaging 8.9 minutes a game, 4.0 points and 4.0 rebounds. She is averaging almost six points a game and 5.3 rebounds in the last three games for the Eagles.
