The pair of senior captains earn All-American honors for the third consecutive year
GILBERT, Ariz. – Two seniors on the Boston College field hockey team have earned Longstreth/NFHCA Division I All-American honors following the 2018 season. Senior captains Frederique Haverhals and Ymke Rose Gote both garnered the recognition for the third consecutive year as Haverhals was named to the First Team and Gote to the Third Team.
As sophomores, both earned their first All-American honors as Haverhals was named to the First Team and Gote to the Third Team. In their junior year, the pair of defenders both earned a spot on the Third Team.
Following their senior campaigns, both were named to the Longstreth/NFHCA All-Northeast Region First Team. Haverhals earned All-Region honors each year of her career – the first Eagle to do so since Bob Dirks (2005-08).
The third All-American honors for the duo marks the only time in program history that classmates have garnered the recognition in consecutive years.
