Boston College Men's Soccer to Offer Winter ID Clinic
November 07, 2018 | Men's Soccer
Clinic scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 12 and Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men's soccer team will host its 2019 Winter ID Clinic on Saturday, Jan. 12 and Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019. The clinic, which is open to any and all high school-aged players in grades 9-12 regardless of ability, will be held in the Alumni Stadium Bubble from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sunday.
At the Winter ID Clinic, players will have the opportunity to be seen by top men's college coaches from around the area and experience what it's like playing at the next level. The Boston College coaching staff will be in attendance, as well as coaches from other universities throughout the northeast. Past coaches attending include coaches from Northeastern University, Providence College, Tufts University, Brandeis University, Babson College, Bentley University and Bowdoin College.
The Boston College Boys Soccer Clinics are designed to be both fun and educational. During the two-day clinic, players will be grouped by both age and skill level so that each player is challenged. The clinic will provide a learning environment for all participants from beginners to the advanced. It is a condensed version of the summer residential program.
The goal of the clinic is to develop the player's soccer ability while they are still having fun. In addition to the Winter ID Clinic, the program also offers summer programs aimed at players working on their technical proficiency to prepare for the varsity, premier, academy or collegiate level.
