The Boston College sailing team competed in the LaserPerformance Singlehanded Nationals over the weekend. Sophia Reineke earned third place overall with 69 points while Isabella Loosbrock earned seventh place with 99 points for the women's race. Scott Rasmussen finished sixth with 88 points for the men's race.
Reineke earned third place with eighth, seventh, 12th, sixth, first, 11th, third, first, third, fifth and finished with four consecutive third-place finishes. Last years' reigning champion, Reineke fell short to Stanford's Christina Sakellaris and Jacksonville's Charlotte Rose.
Loosbrock raced to ninth, 14th, third, eighth, eighth, fifth, 10th, third, 10th, third, 12th, fifth, fifth and fourth-place finishes.
Rasmussen started with a 16th place finish, but climbed to eighth, eighth, third, fourth, seventh, fourth, second, fourth, 10th, sixth, first, 13th and second for his sixth-place overall finish.
The Championship marks the final contest of the season for the Eagles.
