Wynston Tabbs Shines As Eagles Win Fourth Straight Game

BC moves to 6-1 overall with the 81-73 win over Sacred Heart
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Wynston Tabbs poured in a full stat line of season-highs with 28 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals as Boston College won its fourth straight game, downing Sacred Heart 81-73.
BC jumped out to a 20-6 lead, as Jairus Hamilton connected on back-to-back 3-pointers, forcing a Sacred Heart timeout. The Eagles extended their lead to 26-8, as they held the Pioneers to just 3-of-21 shooting from the floor through the first 14:00 of the game. Â
Sacred Heart would respond over the final six minutes of the half, closing the period on an 18-8 push, and BC would lead 34-24 at the halftime break.
The Eagles would push the lead to 14 less than a minute into the second half and would lead by as many as 16 - 69-53 with 4:01 to go. But the Pioneers used a 15-6 push over the next 2:58, cutting the BC lead to just seven (75-68) with 1:09 to play. Tabbs and Ky Bowman would connect on 6-of-6 from the charity stripe down the stretch to seal the win for Boston College.

- Boston College made 45.2% (28-62) of its field goal attempts - including 5-of-21 from beyond the arc. BC dished out 17 assists whole committing eight turnovers. Â
