- Tonight is the first meeting between Boston College and Minnesota.
- Boston College is 19-19 in games versus Big Ten opponents.
- BC all-time vs. the Big Ten: Indiana (3-1); Iowa (2-0); Michigan (4-1); Michigan State (3-3); Nebraska (0-1); Northwestern (2-3), Ohio State (1-1); Penn State (2-3); Purdue (0-3), Wisconsin (2-4).
- The Eagles have never faced Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, or Rutgers in Big Ten play.
- Since 2006, Boston College is 6-4 in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
- BC has dropped their last three in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
- Last year, the Eagles lost, 71-62, at Nebraska on Nov. 29, 2017.

- In 2017-18, Bowman was the only player in the country in to average at least 17.6 points; 6.8 rebounds; 4.7 assists per game.
- Since 1990, only 10 players have posted at least those season averages.

- With its 78-66 win over Loyola Chicago, Boston College won the Fort Myers Tipoff tournament.
- It was the first championship in an MTE/in-season tournament since 2005, when the Eagles won the Las Vegas Invitational.
- It was BC's first appearance in a trophy/t-shirt game since the 2006 ACC Tournament Championship (L, 76-78 vs. Duke).
- Ky Bowman was named the tournament's MVP, averaging 25.0 ppg in the two games held at Suncoast Credit Union Arena.
- The Nation's Most Dynamic Guard poured in a career-high 38 points (14-22 FG; 7-12 3FG) vs, Wyoming on Nov. 19.
- In the four Fort Myers Tipoff games, Bowman averaged 22.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.5 blocks.
- Jordan Chatman also earned all-tournament honors, averaging 16.3 points, 3.6 boards, and 1.8 assists in the four games.
- POST PLAY: BC post players shot a combined 25-for-43 - 58.1% - from the floor over the two games.
- Johncarlos Reyes scored a career-high 15 points (6-7 FG) in 19 minutes in his first start of the season vs. Wyoming.
- Nik Popovic scored 12 of his 14 points and grabbed four of his six boards in the second half vs. Loyola Chicago.
- Jairus Hamilton scored a career-best 11 points (5-9 FG) against Loyola Chicago.
- BENCH MARKS: The BC reserves averaged 23.0 points in the two games in Fort Myers - 15 vs. Wyoming and 31 vs. Loyola.
- Against Wyoming, Chris Herren Jr. and Vin Baker Jr. combined for 10 points in the second half.
- Popovic (14), Hamilton (11), and Herren Jr. (6) paced the Boston College bench in the Loyola win.
- SHARING THE BALL: In BC's first three games, it totaled 29 assists (9.7 apg).
- In the two wins in Fort Myers, the Eagles combined for 33 assists - an average of 16.5 dimes per contest.
- SCORING & SHOOTING: Entering the Fort Myers games, BC was averaging 72.0 ppg and shooting 42.8% from the floor.
- In the two wins in Florida, the Eagles shot 49.6% from the field and scored 83.0 points per game.
- Ky Bowman leads all active ACC players with five career games with at least 30 points.
- On Nov. 19, Bowman scored a career-high 38 points vs. Wyoming. He was 14-of-22 from the floor, making 7-of-12 from 3FG.
- Through Nov. 23, 15 players had scored at least 38 points in a game. Only eight had done so with 22 or fewer FG attempts.
- The junior guard ranks second in the ACC - and 31st nationally - in scoring at 21.8 points per game.
- Bowman is one of two players nationally standing 6-1 or shorter who is averaging at least 6.6 rebounds per game.
- He played a season-low 29 minutes vs. Loyola Chicago. It was his lowest minutes total since Nov. 12, 2017 - 24 min. vs. S.C. State.
- Wynston Tabbs ranks third on the team in scoring through four games - checking in at 11.4 points per game.
- It is believed that the Suitland, Md. native is the first BC freshman to score at least 15 points in his first three games.
- He had 15 points vs. IUPUI and scored 14 of his 15 points in the second half in a win over St. Francis Brooklyn.
- Tabbs scored 16 points in his Boston College debut on Nov. 6 against Milwaukee.
- It was the most points scored by a BC frosh in his debut since Nov. 14, 2015 (Jerome Robinson - 19 pts vs. St. Francis Brooklyn).
- Through five games, Tabbs is averaging 4.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game, while shooting 85% from the foul line (17-20).
- Jordan Chatman returns for his final season of college basketball and is one of the top long-range shooters in the nation.
- During the preseason, Chatman was tabbed as the 27th-best shooter nationally by Haslametrics.com.
- Over the past two years, he is one of 10 active players to make at least 145 3FG and shoot better than 40% from 3FG.
- Last year, BC was 7-3 when Chatman hit at least 4 3FG and 5-0 when he made at least 5 3FG.
- The Vancouver, Wash. native tallied double-figures in scoring in 17 of the Eagles' 19 victories a season ago.
- He enters the 2018-19 season ranked sixth among all active players in career FT% - 90.4% (113-125).
- Andy Katz of NCAA.com tabbed Chatman as one of his 11 under-the-radar players to keep an eye on this season.
- Chatman is poised to become the 44th member of BC's 1,000 point club.
- For his college career, including his freshman year at BYU (2015-16), he has totaled 879 total points.
- Chatman is tied for the BC single-game record for 3FG made with nine, set at Virginia Tech on Jan. 29, 2017.
- With 149 3-pointers made in a BC uniform, Chatman should crack the school's top 10 list for career 3FG makes.
- Steffon Mitchell picked up where he left off, beginning the 2018-19 season by leading the team in rebounding three times.
- He opened the season with 14 rebounds vs. Milwaukee and grabbed 10 boards vs. St. Francis Brooklyn.
- On Nov. 19 vs. Wyoming, he registered his first double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
- He ranks fourth in the ACC in rebounding, at just under 8.8 boards per outing.
- As a freshman, the 6-8 forward was Boston College's top rebounder on 18 occasions a season ago.
- Mitchell became the first true freshman in BC history to average better than 8.0 rebounds per game.
- The Shakopee, Minn. native pulled down 8.3 rebounds per game and is the ACC's third-leading returning rebounder.
- Mitchell's 1.95:1 assist/turnover ratio led the Eagles in 2017-18, just ahead of the 1.93:1 mark by Jordan Chatman.
- In ACC play, Mitchell posted a 2.56:1 ATR, committing just 16 turnovers in 599 minutes played in 17 conference games.
- Overall, Mitchell led BC in at least one statistical category - scoring, rebounding, assists, blocks, or steals - in 31 of 34 games.
- Nik Popovic posted his first double-double of the season - 10 points and 10 rebounds - vs. St. Francis Brooklyn.
- He scored a season-high 14 points and grabbed six boards off the bench in the win over Loyola Chicago.
- Last season, Popovic posted career-highs averages in scoring (9.9), rebounding (6.2), and assists (1.3).
- He averaged nearly 13.0 ppg over the final nine games of 2017-18, including a career-high 20 points (8-11 FG) in the opening round win over Georgia Tech in the ACC Tournament
- Through the 2017-18 season, when Popovic grabs at least seven rebounds in a game, the Eagles are 13-6.
- Popovic converted 60% (101-170) of his shot attempts at the rim in 2017-18, including a team-best 33 putbacks.
- The 6-10 forward saw his free throw proficiency make a monumental jump.
- He improved on his FT% by more than 18 percentage points, from 53.1% as a freshman to 71.3% as a sophomore.
- Even more, Popovic made this improvement while almost tripling his free throw attempts per game.
