Three BC boats race on home course over the weekend.
BOSTON -- The Boston College rowing team competed at the 54th Head of the Charles Regatta on the Charles Rivers this past weekend. Three BC boats raced on the Eagles' home course, which hosted the largest two-day regatta in the world.
It was a cold weekend on the water with temperatures typically in the 40s on both says, compared to a warm fall weekend for the 2017 regatta.
On Saturday, the Eagles raced in the Women's Club 4+ and Women's Club 8+. BC finished 15th out of 52 boats that completed the race in a time of 19:48.903 in the 4+. In the 8+, the Eagles placed 10th out of 31 in 17:31.745.
The action wrapped up on Sunday with the Women's Championship 4+ on the water. BC finished 14th out of 19 in 21:31.210.
