3K will be BC’s last race before ACC Championship

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – In the final weekend before championship season begins, the Boston College women's cross country team will run at the CCSU Mini Meet on Friday, Oct. 19, taking place in New Britain, Conn. at Stanley Quarter Park.

The Eagles will run in the 3K race as the last tune up before the ACC Cross Country Championship, set at BC's home course at Franklin Park on Friday, Oct. 26.

The Eagles placed seventh last season at the event with 198 points as three Eagles broke the 11-minute mark and all five scored runners finished in the top-60. New Hampshire took the women's team and individual titles in 2017.

Last weekend, BC raced to 16th-place at the Penn State National Open with 405 points. Freshman Fian Sullivan Sweeney led the charge for the second-straight meet, placing 59th overall after finishing the 6K course in a time of 21:33.

The CCSU Mini Meet women's sub-varsity and varsity 3K will begin at 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., respectively.
