Eagles, Saints once again meet as top-10 teams
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The sixth-ranked Boston College women's hockey team will play host to No. 10 St. Lawrence on Thursday and Friday at Kelley Rink.
Both games of the non-conference series will be streamed on ESPN3, which is available on WatchESPN.com or the ESPN App. Thursday's game is set for a 6 p.m. puck drop while Friday's will begin at 2 p.m.
Boston College (1-2-0, 0-0-0 HEA) topped Syracuse, 5-1, last weekend to earn its first win of the season. Five different Eagles scored a goal in the win while eight skaters all together had at least one point. St. Lawrence is unbeaten in the last three games, going 2-0-1 against Robert Morris (2-0 win) and New Hampshire (1-1 tie, 1-0 win).
This is the third season in a row that the two squads are meeting, with the previous three games occurring with both teams ranked in the national polls. The teams met in the 2017 NCAA Tournament and also played a two-game series last season. The Saints and Eagles are familiar foes, having played a regular series since head coach Katie Crowley took over the BC program in 2007-08.
Boston College will begin Hockey East play next weekend, hosting Merrimack on Friday, Oct. 19 and Vermont on Saturday, Oct. 20.
