Sophomore forward Graham McPhee turned in his second two-goal performance in three games but it was not enough as Lowell stole one late in a 3-2 setback at the Tsongas Center

GOAL DESCRIPTIONS
FIRST GOAL (1-0 – UMass Lowell) - SECOND PERIOD – Ryan Collins – 2:58 – EVEN STRENGTH
• Immediately after a Lowell power play expired, the River Hawks scored an even strength goal 2:58 into second period. Mattias Goransson fed Colin O'Neill down in the far corner while Ryan Collins parked himself on the near post. O'Neill fended off an Eagle defenseman and fed Collins on the doorstep for the tap-in tally and a 1-0 River Hawks' lead.
SECOND GOAL (2-0 – UMass Lowell) - SECOND PERIOD – Ryan Dmowski – 13:20 – EVEN STRENGTH
• UMass Lowell doubled its lead at 13:20 of the second period after Ryan Dmowski snapped it past Woll on a 2-on-1 situation. Dmowski faked the pass to Collins, drawing the pursuit and wristed it last Woll, blocker side, from the right dot to make it a 2-0 River Hawks' advantage.
THIRD GOAL (2-1 – Boston College) - THIRD PERIOD – Graham McPhee – 2:08 – POWER PLAY
• The Eagles curbed their scoring drought on their third power play opportunity of the game to start the third period to cut into Lowell's lead. After UML's Niklas Folin was hauled off for interference, the Eagles slipped it past Lowell's Tyler Wall on the rebound at 2:08. Connor Moore blasted a shot into traffic from the point where it trickled down to Aapeli Rasanen on the crease. Rasanen got one look at but after the initial stop was made, McPhee was on the post to pounce on the loose carom for the power play mark to cut it to a 2-1 contest.

Schutz took four full strides before wristing it past Woll to reclaim the UMass Lowell lead, 3-2.
