Jared Hamilton Joins Men's Basketball Program

Transfer from Georgia Southern will be eligible to compete during the 2018-19 season
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Jared Hamilton has enrolled at Boston College and will continue his academic and athletic endeavors as a member of the men's basketball program.
The 6-4, 190 lb. guard will practice for the remainder of the 2017-18 season and will be eligible to compete for the Eagles at the conclusion of first semester final examinations in December, 2018.
Hamilton arrives at the Heights after transferring from Georgia Southern University. He appeared in eight games for the Eagles this season, averaging 6.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in close to 19 minutes of play per game. In GSU's season opening win versus Wake Forest, he had 10 points and three rebounds.
The Charlotte, N.C. native began his collegiate career at Jacksonville State, averaging 9.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in close to 30 minutes per game. A three-time Ohio Valley Freshman of the Week, Hamilton earned the start in all 30 games for the Gamecocks, reaching double digits in the scoring column on 13 occasions.
