Five to come to The Heights
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College golf head coach Drew Kayser announces five additions to the 2018-19 men's and women's golf programs. Young Shin "Lauren" Kim, Alexa Rivas and Linrui Chen will join the women's team and James "Mac" Webster and Ryan Kinkead will join the men.

Young Shin "Lauren" Kim | McNeil HS | Austin, Texas
Golfed at McNeil High School under head coach Matt Hoover … was the second player in McNeil golf program's history to play in State comptetion … represented Maryland team at the Girls Mid-Atlantic Junior Challenge Invitational in 2013 and won … was a member of the Texas team in the Texas-Mexico Cup in 2016 … qualified for the 38th USGA WAPL in 2014 …placed first in the Scott Robertson Memorial under-15 age division in 2013 …has produced five top-10 finished within AJGA.

Alexa Rivas | Miami Palmetto Senior | Miami, Florida
Played at Miami Palmetto Senior … placed first in District and Regional competitions all four years … made top ten in State finals three of her four years … was deemed team captain and MVP all four years at Miami Palmetto Senior … garnered Miami Herald All-Dade Honors First Team all four years … while playing AJGA, she was Pre-Season Junior at North Hampstead Championship in 2015 … produced five top-10 performances within the AJGA.

Linrui Chen | Linfield Christian School | Temecula, California
Played at Linfield Christian School under head coach Mark Moore from 2014-18, practicing with the men's team … competes as an individual in the California Interscholastic Federation … this year, she won the CIF Freelance Tournament … placed third in the CIF-Southern Section Individual Finals … was honored with First Team All-League … was also honored with Second Team All-League.

James "Mac" Webster | Gilman School | Baltimore, Maryland
Varsity golfer at Gilman school under coaches Don Rogers and Mike Wallace … set the Gilman School 9 hole record during his junior year … deemed Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association All-Conference during his junior year … had three top-10 finished in AJGA tournaments his past summer … also had a fourth place finish at the AGJA Junior Championship … is ranked No. 179 by the Rolex AGJA Rankings amongst boys, No. 89 in the Class of 2018 category and second in the Maryland category.

Ryan Kinkead | St. Stephen's Episcopal School | Lakewood Ranch, Florida
Golfed at St. Stephen's Episcopal under head coach Matt Primrose … was named MVP during his senior year …deemed team captain during his junior and senior seasons … placed sixth individually in the Florida State High School Championships his senior year … his team finished second in the 2017 Florida State High School Golf Championships … played club gold at the IMS Academy under head coach Brian Van der Riet.
