Bibilani Liu Placed Third In Boston College Intercollegiate

Eagles place second in team competition.
CANTON, Mass. – The Boston College women's golf team placed second overall at +34 behind eventual winner Richmond (+23) at the Boston College Intercollegiate at Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, Mass. on Sunday and Monday.
The competition began on Sunday with two non-stop rounds on the Championship Course at Blue Hill. The Eagles finished the two rounds in third place (295, 302) at +21. In the final round on Monday, BC finished with a 301 to place second overall.
BC freshman Bibilani Liu led all Eagles with a third place finish (73, 71, 77). Junior Katie Kim placed 17th overall at +12, while senior Katie Barrand placed tied in 24th at +14 (73, 82, 75).
Richmond finished the three-round tournament at +23 (301, 291, 295). Elsa Diaz won the individual event at +1 (77, 68, 72), while teammate Lizzie Reedy was fourth at +6 (74, 75, 73).

Sunday, Sept. 25 – Boston College finished third overall after day one action at Blue Hill Country Club. The team shot a 295, the second lowest team score of the day and a 302 in the second round. The Eagles were led by freshman Bibiliani Liu who was tied in first after the first two rounds. She finished the day even with a 73 and 71. Jocelyn Chia was tied in 17th after shooting first round 72 and 79 in the second round Junior Katie Kim was tied in 20th as she rolled a 77, 75 for +8 while senior Katie Barrand was tied in 33rd as she finished the day at +11 (73, 82)
Monday, Sept. 26 – The Eagles recorded the second lowest team score of the day at 301 to place second overall in the tournament (+34). Freshman Bibilani Liu placed third overall (73, 71, 74, +5), while Katie Kim finished tied in 17th (77, 75, 76, +12). Junior Ailin Li and senior Jocelyn Chia placed tied in 26th place through three rounds. Li shot an 81, 77 and 73 on Sunday while Chia shot a 72 to open the tournament and finished with a 79 and 80. Junior Katelyn Reynolds placed tied in 51st place as she opened with a 76 and 80 on Sunday and posted an 83 on Monday.

GAME NOTES
-Only two players in the tournament recorded an eagle. The first was BC's Katie Barrand in the first round on the Par 5 325 yard ninth hole. On Sunday, Agueda Cortilla-Mas from Florida International recorded an eagle on the Par 5, 446 yard 18th hole.
-This was the first time BC has hosted a women's tournament since the 2003-04 season. That season, BC placed second at the Ridge Club in Sandwich.
- BC was second on par 4's (+42) and fourth on the par 5's (+4).
-The Eagles were fourth overall in pars with 152 and led the tournament with 35 birdies.
- Bibilani Liu led BC with 13 birdies, while Ailin Li had a team-high 34 pars. Katie Kim was right behind Li with 33 pars.
