August 31, 2017 | Women's Basketball
Boston College to play seven home games in November & December.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College women's basketball team has announced its 2017-18 non-conference schedule, which features seven home games in Conte Forum.
"Our non-conference schedule is important as we prepare our young team for ACC play,'' said Eagles head coach Erik Johnson. "We are excited to take senior center Katie Quandt home to play at Big Ten foe Minnesota. We will take on old Big East rivals Seton Hall and Providence in December and play fellow Jesuit colleges in Atlantic-10 contender Fordham, Holy Cross and Fairfield. And true to form we kept our traditional regional rivalries alive with Boston University, New Hampshire and Maine.''
Â
In the first month, Boston College will be on the Conte Forum floor for three of the first five games.
Â
The Eagles will open the 2017-18 campaign at home on Nov. 10 against Bryant (11 a.m.) This will serve as the annual Field Trip Day for local elementary and middle schools to attend the game.
Â
A road game at Dartmouth is set for Sunday, Nov. 12 before BC returns home to host Fordham on Nov. 16.
Â
On Sunday, Nov. 19, Boston College will hit the road to play at Minnesota, bringing senior Katie Quandt home to play in front of her family and friends. Houston will visit Conte Forum for the first time on Nov. 22, before the Eagles head out on a two-game road swing – at Boston University (Nov. 26) and at Columbia (Nov. 29).
In December, BC plays four of six games at home. Fairfield will start the month off on Sunday, Dec. 3, before the Eagles head to Worcester to play at Holy Cross on Dec. 6.
Â
A two-game home swing against an old Big East rival Seton Hall (Dec. 10), followed by UNH on Dec. 17.
Â
Boston College will return to action on the road at Providence on Thursday, Dec. 21, before the Christmas break. The Eagles will wrap up their non-conference schedule by hosting Maine (Dec. 28).
The complete ACC schedule will be released at a later date, but Boston College will have home-and-home matchups against Notre Dame and Syracuse.
The Eagles will also play a strong conference home schedule by hosting Pittsburgh, Virginia, Wake Forest, Miami, North Carolina and Louisville.
BC will be on the road at Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and NC State.
