ACC Preseason Women's Cross Country Poll

The Atlantic Coast Conference released the preseason coaches’ poll and the Boston College women’s cross country team was voted 12th in the Atlantic Division by the league’s 15 head coaches.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Atlantic Coast Conference released the preseason coaches' poll and the Boston College women's cross country team was voted 12th in the Atlantic Division by the league's 15 head coaches. NC State was selected as the preseason favorite to win the conference title for the second straight preseason.

Notre Dame finished second in the voting, followed by Syracuse, Virginia Tech and Louisville. NC State's women earned a No. 6 preseason ranking, while Notre Dame is close behind at No. 8 and Louisville is ranked No. 28.

The Eagles finished their 2016 campaign with a 12th place finish at the ACC Championships as junior Isabelle Kennedy finished in second place overall with a time of 19:51.7 in a field of 131 total runners.

The Eagles open the 2017 season on Friday, Sept. 1 with a dual meet against Harvard at the Chestnut Hill reservoir.
