Boston College will travel to New York to play Stony Brook (2-2-0) on Thursday at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium at 7 p.m. The Eagles (2-2-0) are coming off a 5-1 win over Colgate on Sunday afternoon. Five different players scored while freshman Sam Coffey had a goal and three assists.

• The 2017 team captains are defender Allyson Swaby and midfielder Lauren Berman.
• Swaby, a native of West Hartford, Conn., has played in a team-high 57 games. A four-year starter, Swaby is surrounded by youth in the back line so her leadership is much-needed.
• Berman, a native of Canton, Mass., is one of the stronger two-way players in the conference. The Eagles midfielder was the co-leader on the team in assists with eight. She currently has two goals and an assists in four games.
SISTER ACT
• The Eagles have another set of sisters in the lineup. Junior transfer Kayla Jennings was joined this year by younger sister Jillian. Kayla transferred from Maryland last season and played in 18 games. Jillian has started off strong with four starts as a rookie.
In the past BC head coach Alison Foley has had a number of sister acts – including the three DiMartino sisters (Gina '10, Victoria '13 and Rosie '16) as well as the two Hiler sisters (Caitlin '09 and Morgan '13).
A DAY OF FIRSTS
• Sophomore Erin Convery scored her first career goal vs. Colgate. The Eagles defender headed in a corner kick from Sam Coffey in the second half.
• Freshman Sam Coffey started her fourth game and it proved to be an all-star performance. The Eagles midfielder scored BC's first goal in the 5-1 win over Colgate on Sunday. She did not stop there as she set up three other goals including two off corner kicks. Coffey, who was named Eagle of the Week on Aug. 29, finished the game with five points.
• Rookie defender Gianna Mitchell may have scored the most exciting first goal. The Springfield native got on the end of a Sam Coffey corner and beat a crowd of defenders to the ball. She headed it past the goalkeeper for a 3-0 Eagles lead.
TEAM NOTES
• The Eagles have started four rookies in every game this season. In the midfielder, Sam Coffey and Jillian Jennings are playing alongside senior Lauren Berman and junior Kayla Jennings. Alongside senior Allyson Swaby stands freshmen Mijke Roelfsema and Gianna Mitchell.
• In four games, Boston College has edged its opponents in overall shot, 63-36. The Eagles also have a 43-10 edge in corner.
• Senior Allyson Swaby and freshman Mijke Roelfsema lead the Eagles in minutes played. Swaby played total minutes in the first three games but got 12 minute break vs. Colgate on Sunday. She is averaging 88.4 minutes per game. Roelfsema is averaging 85.7 minutes per game. She played the 96 minutes in the overtime win over JMU and 90 against Vanderbilt.
• Senior Lauren Berman has recorded two game-winning-goals. The Eagles midfielder had the game-winner in overtime vs. JMU and then again against Colgate on Sunday.
