Eagles Earn Fifth-Straight Bid in NCAA Tournament

BC heads to Syracuse, N.Y., for the opening weekend of the tournament.

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College lacrosse team earned a spot in the 2017 NCAA Tournament, announced Sunday night by the NCAA. The tournament bid marks the fifth-straight and sixth overall appearance 26-team bracket. Full Bracket

BC will face Canisius on Friday, May 12 in Syracuse, N.Y. at the Carrier Dome in the first round of the Tournament hosted by sixth-seeded Syracuse.

Boston College is 4-0 in the all-time series against Canisius with the last win coming in 2014. The winner of Friday's game will face the Orange on Sunday, May 14.

This season, Boston College finished 13-6 overall and advanced to the semifinals in the ACC Championship for the first time since the 2013 season. The Eagles also head into the tournament with its highest scoring offense in program history, netting 282 goals in 19 games.

The NCAA Tournament will take place over the next two weeks with the Final Four meeting at Gillette Stadium on May 26 and 28.
