Reineke, Rasmussen Honored At Golden Eagles

Golden Eagles Awards
Senior Erika Reineke won the Heights Award, presented at the 2017 Golden Eagles, on Friday night. The award is presented annually by the editorial board of The Heights, the independent student newspaper of Boston College, to the outstanding male and female student-athletes who exemplify excellence on the field and have been exciting and engaging to cover during their careers as Eagles. Austin Cangelosi won the male Heights Award.
Reineke was not the only sailor being honored. Freshman Scott Rasmussen won Upset of the Year honors for his victory in the Singlehanded National Championship. Rasmussen was also up for the Rookie of the Year honor but lost to Ky Bowman.
Six BC athletes are honored by the ACC for community service. Peter Lynn picked up the award for ACC Top Six For Service honor.
The following players earned the AD Award for Academic Achievement - Megan Bamford, Alica Bohan, Caroline Downey, Grace Drury, Henry Dumke, Allison Ferraris, Harry Koeppel, Isabella Loosebrock, Madde Loosebrock, Hannah Lynn, Peter Lynn, Drake Lyon, Kyle MacLennan, Elizabeth Matheson, Lily McGrath, Emma Perry, Jake Rizika, Caroline Rochford and Kendall Van Horne.
