Boston College rookie Lois Kaye Go earned the Rookie of the Year Award for a female athlete at tonight's Golden Eagle Award Ceremony on the campus of BC at Conte Forum.

Go has had one of the most successful rookie seasons for a BC golfer. She is the second women's golfer to advance to the NCAA regional. Go will leave this week to compete in the Lubbock Regional that will run from May 8-11.

A native of the Phillipines, Go's scoring average was a team-low 72.29. She won the Dartmouth Invitational and Lady EagleCat Invitational this past season. Go opened her college career with a third place finish at the RedBird Invitational and a third at the Golfweek Program. After winning the Dartmouth Invitational, she placed fifth at Yale and second at Texas State.

Go finished tied in 21st place as she shot a 74 on the final day of play at the ACC Tournament in April. She was a +2 after the first day and was even on day two of action.
