Dair earns all-league honors for third straight season

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Two members of the Boston College women's tennis team drew all-ACC honors for the 2016-17 season, the conference announced Thursday. Senior Lexi Borr and junior Asiya Dair earned spots on the All-ACC Third Team, as voted on by the conference's coaches.

Dair has made the third team for three straight seasons. The junior ranked as high as 115th in the nation. She holds an 11-12 record in singles play – all in first singles – consistently facing some of the top players in the nation. Dair competed with several doubles partners. She and sophomore Jackie Urbinati have gone 7-2 together.

Borr made the third team for the second straight year. She ranked as high as 82nd in the nation. The Westfield, N.J., native has a 10-11 record in second singles. Borr and senior Emily Safron have gone 7-5 in second doubles.

The 12th-seeded Eagles will face fifth-seeded NC State in the second round of the ACC Tournament on Thursday at 4 p.m. in Rome, Ga.
