Wilcox, Urbinati Continue Success in Loss to Wake Forest

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Boston College women's tennis team fell to No. 30 Wake Forest, 5-2, in Sunday's ACC road match.

The Eagles (9-13, 4-10 ACC) won two singles matches against the Demon Deacons (17-9, 7-7 ACC). Freshman Kylie Wilcox and sophomore Jackie Urbinati won both their singles matches this weekend.

Wilcox earned a straight-set victory in fourth singles with a 6-1, 6-4 win against Samantha Asch. Sophomore Jackie Urbinati recorded a 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 win against Luisa Fernandez.

The Eagles will next turn their attention to the ACC Tournament in Rome, Ga. Twelfth-seeded BC will face 13th-seeded Virginia Tech on Wednesday at 10 a.m. The winner will play fifth-seeded NC State on Thursday at 1 p.m.
