April 10, 2017 | Football, Boston College Athletics, Men's Hockey, Women's Hockey, Lacrosse
Two-sport star’s week of transition, football continues to be plagued by injuries and more.
Women's Hockey/Lacrosse: Two-sport star Kenzie Kent recently sat down with Matt Hasselbeck and ESPNW to talk about the workload of playing two sports at the Division I level. Having a stick in her hand for 10 months of the year, Kent must transition between sports in just one week.
Football: In other football news, former quarterback Patrick Towles continues to train in hopes of extending his career to the NFL. In a recent NFLscout.com report, Towles is considered one of the top sleeper picks in this year's draft.
Men's Hockey: After tallying 76 points in 72 games for the Eagles through two seasons, Colin White recently signed a three-year deal with the Ottawa Senators and made his NHL debut on Monday.
Women's Hockey: Six Eagles earned gold medals in the 2017 IIHF Women's World Championships on Friday night as the United States defeated Canada, 3-2, in overtime. Current juniors Kali Flanagan and Megan Keller joined four other former Eagles in Plymouth, Mich.: Alex Carpenter '16, Emily Pfalzer '15, Haley Skarupa '16 and Kelli Stack '11.
As the United States hockey team look ahead to the 2018 games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, former Eagle stand out Blake Bolden looks to earn a spot on the roster. Despite a successful career in college and being a three-time all-star in the pros, many say that Bolden has not gained the recognition she deserves.
