BC earns doubles point versus No. 15 Georgia Tech
The Boston College men's tennis team split its Friday matches, falling to No. 15 Georgia Tech, 5-2, and then defeating Babson, 7-0.

Against Babson (5-5), the Eagles won every singles match in straight sets and swept doubles play at the Flynn Recreation Complex.

Freshman Derek Austin went 2-0 in the contest, winning 6-2, 6-2 in first singles and earning a 6-3 victory in second doubles with senior Alexander Aziz.

BC (4-10, 0-5 ACC) began the match against Georgia Tech (12-3, 4-1 ACC) by winning the doubles point at the Dedham Health and Athletic Center.

In first doubles, Austin and senior Hank Workman earned a 7-5 victory over Carlos Benito and Carlos Divar, the nation's 75th-ranked doubles pair. Senior Aidan McNulty and junior Kent Mukai also won 6-4 in third doubles.

Mukai went 2-0 in the Georgia Tech match, winning 6-4, 6-0 in fifth singles.

The Eagles will next host NC State on Sunday at noon at the Flynn Recreation Complex.
