
Wilcox Wins ACC Player of the Week

Freshman has an 8-5 singles record
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Freshman Kylie Wilcox earned ACC Player of the Week honors, the conference announced Tuesday.

Wilcox won both her singles matches last week and also posted a pivotal doubles victory in the 6-1 win Friday against No. 37 Miami.

She and freshman Dasha Possokhova earned a 6-4 victory in first doubles, helping BC win the doubles point and defeat the Hurricanes for the first time in program history. Wilcox also won 6-3, 7-6 in fourth singles against Ana Madcur, which gave the Eagles a 4-1 lead and clinched the team victory.

In Sunday's match against Louisville, Wilcox won in straight sets again, defeating Abbie Pahz 7-6, 6-1 in fourth singles.

The Greenwich, Conn., native holds an 8-5 singles record.

Wilcox is the second Eagle to secure ACC Player of the Week honors this season. Borr won the award Feb. 28 after going 4-0 against Boston University and Syracuse.

The Eagles will continue their homestand against Florida State on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Flynn Recreation Complex.
