Rapp, Wilcox Named Eagles of the Week

Pair honored for performances last week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Junior Brian Rapp (baseball) and freshman Kylie Wilcox (tennis) have been named Eagles of the Week for their performances last week.

Rapp threw a career-high seven scoreless innings in his first-career ACC start against No. 6 Clemson on Sunday. He struck out a career-high eight without walking a batter or allowing a run and gave up just two singles. He retired 21 of the 23 batters faced in the no decision to the Tigers.

Wilcox earned ACC Player of the Week honors after she went 2-0 in singles last week, winning both matches in straight sets. She also paired with Dasha Possokhova for a doubles win against Miami to lead BC to its first-ever win over the Hurricanes in program history.

Women's tennis (8-8, 3-5 ACC) will host Florida State on Friday at 10 a.m. Baseball (7-14, 1-8 ACC) will host UMass on Wednesday at the New England Baseball Complex before traveling to Virginia Tech this weekend for a three-game series.
