Chieffalo Earns Victory in Loss to Virginia Tech

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Boston College men's tennis team fell to Virginia Tech, 6-1, in Sunday's ACC road match.

Freshman Alexander Chieffalo earned a 6-4, 7-6 victory in sixth singles for the Eagles (3-9, 0-5 ACC).

Freshman Derek Austin went toe to toe with No. 82 Ian Corbett. Austin won the first set, but Corbett came back for the 2-6, 7-5, 6-3 victory for Virginia Tech (7-9, 2-4 ACC).

The Eagles will return home for two Friday matches, hosting No. 17 Georgia Tech at noon at the Dedham Health and Athletic Complex and then Babson at 5 p.m. at the Flynn Recreation Complex.
