No. 31 NC State Defeats BC, 6-1

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Boston College women's tennis team fell to No. 31 NC State, 6-1, in Sunday afternoon's ACC road match.

Freshman Dasha Possokhova earned a straight-set 6-4, 6-4 victory for the Eagles (7-7, 2-4 ACC) in third singles against NC State's Claudia Wiktorin.

The Eagles also gave the Wolfpack a challenge during doubles play. Junior Asiya Dair and sophomore Jackie Urbinati earned a 6-1 victory on the No. 3 court, evening up the overall doubles score at one match apiece. However, the Wolfpack (11-7, 1-5 ACC) clinched the doubles point with a win on the No. 2 court.

BC will next host No. 29 Miami on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Flynn Recreation Complex.
