BC HIGHLIGHTS
- Boston College won the Lady EagleCat Invitational at LPGA International in Daytona, Florida on Friday, the final day of competition. Three BC golfers finished in the top five, four placed in the top 10. - The team led all 12 teams with 27 birdies and was second with 112 pars over the two days. This is the Eagles fourth first place finish in the 2016-17 season.
- Freshman Lois Kaye Go (72, 69 – 141, -3) won the tournament by two strokes. Go shot a 69 on Friday as she had four birdies in the round, including three straight on the par 4 fourth hole, par 5 fifth hole and par 3 sixth hole. Go shot even par on Thursday with a 72. She led the tournament with nine birdies.
- Sophomore Ailin Li had a strong tournament as she was right on Go's heels after day one. Li shot a 72 to land in a three-way tie after the first round. On Friday, Li shot a 71 and finished tied for second with Bethune-Cookman's Mackenzie Butzer, who shot a tournament low 68 on Friday. Li had three birdies in her final round, seven for the tournament. Li was second with 23 pars over the two-day event.
- Junior Katie Barrand was in 10th after day one with a 75. She rebounded on Friday to place tied in fifth with a 74 and +5 over the two days of competition. Barrand led the tournament with 27 pars.
- Sophomore Katie Kim was a +7 over the two days and placed tied in 10th. She shot a 73 on Thursday with three birdies. Kim had a strong front nine in the second round with a 36 but battled in the second nine to finish with a 78.
- Junior Jocelyn Chia was tied in 19th as she shot a +10 (78, 76).
