Kennedy Earns All-Academic Honors

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College redshirt sophomore Isabelle Kennedy earned cross country Division 1 All-Academic honors on Thursday from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Kennedy turned in a stellar 2016 season for the Eagles, qualifying for the NCAA Championships that were held in Terre Haute, Ind., in November where she finished 172nd overall.
Kennedy, a native of Boulder, Colo., advanced to Terre Haute with an individual automatic qualification following an exceptional third-place finish at the NCAA Northeast Regionals held at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, N.Y.
At the 2016 ACC Championships held in Cary, N.C., Kennedy was also the top finisher for the Eagles, where she placed second overall, her best-ever finish at the ACC Championships.
Kennedy is enrolled in the Lynch School of education, where she co-concentrates in applied psychology/human development and English. She also minors in Faith, Peace and Justice.
