Four Named To All-ACC Academic Men’s Soccer Team

Zeiko Lewis leads four Eagles
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Four Boston College men's soccer student-athletes – graduate student Maximilian Schulze-Geisthovel, senior Zeiko Lewis, sophomore Cedric Saladin and sophomore Simon Enstrom – have been named to the 2016 All-ACC Academic Men's Soccer team.
Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career for undergraduate students. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
Schulze-Geisthovel started in 19 matches and made six starts in the midfield. He was tied for the team lead with seven goals and ranked second with 15 points. He scored a goal in each of the first four games of the season and scored twice against Albany on September 20. He ranked eighth in the ACC in goals.
Lewis, who was drafted in the first round (17th overall) of the MLS SuperDraft by the New York Red Bulls, was named to the All-ACC First Team after last season. He finished his career as the all-time assist leader at Boston College with 27. He also ranks sixth in career points (63) and 10th in goals (18).
Saladin ranked fourth in the ACC with 71 saves. He spent all but 13 minutes in goal last season with a 1.49 goals against average and a .689 save percentage. Seven of the nine victories he earned last season were shutouts.
Enstrom ranked third on the team in goals (4), assists (4) and points (12). Three of the four goals he scored were game-winners which was a team best. He was credited with an assist in the 1-0 win over Fordham in the first round of the NCAA Championship.
