Overseas Update

Here is the latest update on the BC players that are still playing overseas:
Carolyn Swords – Basket 90 Gdynia – Poland
Swords scored 17 points for Basket 90 in a win over AZS UMCS (Poland), 62-56. Swords grabbed eight rebounds and recorded two blocks for Basket 90, and she went 8-for-13 from the floor. On Jan. 25, Swords recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds in an, 81-64, loss to Artego. The team will play Sleza Wroclaw on Saturday. She is sixth in the league in scoring and fourth in rebounding. In WNBA news this week, the former Eagles center was traded to Seattle in a three-team deal.
Nicole Boudreau – Loko Trutnov – Czech Republic
Boudreau's team Loko Trutnow is 11-8 on the season. On January 22, Boudreau played just 15 minutes. On Jan. 25, Boudreau started and finished with six points on two three's in a 78-49 victory. Boudreau has played in 17 games and is averaging 4.9 points and 3.1 rebounds a game.
Kathrin Ress – Familia Schio – Italy
Familia Schio is 13-2 this season and Kathrin Ress has played in 15 games while averaging 19.2 minutes, 7.1 points and 4.6 rebounds. She is shooting 53.7 percent from the floor and 73 from the foul line. Ress recorded four points and nine rebounds in Schio's 88-46 win over Vigarano on Jan. 29. On Feb. 1, Ress played just nine minutes and had two boards in a 61-61 loss to Mersin.
Lauren Engeln – Halle – Germany
Engeln is in her second season in Germany playing for Halle. Engeln scored five points and grabbed five boards in an, 82-65, victory on Jan. 21. She scored five points and had seven boards in a 54-51 victory over Hanover on Jan. 29. Engeln is averaging 6.4 points and 4.0 rebounds in 14 games for Halle.
