BC win over BU brings momentum to ACC play
DEDHAM, Mass. – The Boston College women's tennis team will enter ACC play with momentum. The Eagles completed their nonconference slate with a 7-0 win against Boston University on Friday night at home in the Dedham Health and Fitness Center.
The Eagles (5-4) have won every singles match in their last two contests, also earning all six victories last Saturday against UMass. Each singles win against the Terriers (3-3) came in straight sets.
Seniors Lexi Borr and Emily Safron, junior Asiya Dair, sophomore Jackie Urbinati, and freshmen Dasha Possokhova and Kylie Wilcox each went 2-0 in the match, earning a singles and doubles victory each.
"We had a good night. Our players executed well on important points," said BC head coach Nigel Bentley. "We've been working hard on our strength and conditioning, and I think that made all the difference."
BC will face ACC competition the rest of the way. They continue Sunday at 11 a.m. against Syracuse at the Flynn Recreation Complex
