- Sophomore center Mariella Fasoula scored a team-high 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds. She shot 10-for-13 from the field.
- Freshman guard Taylor Ortlepp posted 18 points and a team-high six assists.
- BC won the battle of the boards against NC State, 35-28.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles generated eight unanswered points, including two lay-ups from Mariella Fasoula. The stretch gave BC a 19-6 lead with 2:17 left in the first quarter. The Eagles shot 10-for-17 from the field in the opening period, holding NC State to a 2-for-12 clip in the frame.
- Two Wolfpack three-pointers sparked an 8-2 run that cut BC's advantage to 25-22 with 3:58 left in the first half.
- BC entered the locker room with a 33-31 lead.
- Both teams went toe-to-toe at the start of the second half. Rookie guard Taylor Ortlepp scored consecutive 3-pointers in the stretch to give BC a 45-43 lead with 4:59 in the third quarter.
- NC State ended the third quarter on a 7-0 run, spearheaded by five points from guard Dominique Wilson (23 points). The Wolfpack entered the fourth quarter with a 55-49 lead.
- Â NC State continued the offensive attack in the fourth quarter, with a 10-2 stretch for a 64-51 lead with 6:31 left.
- BC held NC State without a field goal for the final 6:31, but the Wolfpack finished off the victory.
