HOW IT HAPPENED
- A 14-2 run by Notre Dame pushed the Irish lead to 14-9 at the first media time out in the opening quarter. Brianna Turner had six points in the run. Despite seven points from Fasoula in the first quarter, the Eagles were down, 26-14.
- The Irish opened the second quarter shooting 4-for-10 from the field to take a 38-21 lead with 4:46 to play. BC shot 3-for-7 but had four turnovers to start the quarter. Notre Dame held a 51-31 lead at the half as it finished the quarter on an 8-3 run.
- Boston College opened the third quarter on a 6-2 run to cut the lead to 57-37. Lindsay Allen then scored seven points to lead the Irish to a 66-38 third quarter lead. BC shot just 2-for-20 in the quarter.
- Notre Dame opened the final quarter on a 9-0 run and the Eagles could not cut into the lead.
