Campbell Announces Class of 2022 Signees

Three to join the Eagles next season at The Heights
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College volleyball head coach Chris Campbell announced today the Eagles' incoming Class of 2022.
The three players who make up the class signed their National Letters of Intent and will arrive at The Heights to begin play with the Eagles in the fall of 2018.
Campbell's signing class includes:
Derry Costigan | 6-0 | S | Saint Thomas Aquinas HS | Lighthouse Point, Fla. | Wildfire Volleyball
Played setter and right side for head coach Lisa Zielinski at Saint Thomas Aquinas High School … played as setter, outside hitter and right side for Wildfire Volleyball in 2016 and for Boomers Volleyball Club from 2014-15 … was a starting setter/right side when her team won the HP Championship in 2015 …a four-year starter, was a member of a three-time state championship team … tabbed varsity team captain during her senior year, 2017 … an All-County Team member (2014, 2015 and 2016) … added to Max Prep's Top 20 National Freshman Players honors … landed in top 10 in overall assists in Florida in 2014 … named to Broward County Senior All-Star team in 2017.
"Derry is a highly skilled, 6 foot tall, athletic setter," said Campbell. "Her high-end club and high school experiences will serve her well once she arrives at The Heights. A leader and talented player, Derry will be an asset to our program."

Played outside hitter under head coach Erica Bunch at Maclay School … participated as outside hitter with Prostyle Volleyball Academy under head coach Gokhan Yilmaz for eight years … named to the All-Tournament team at USVA Girls Junior National Championships … four-time All-Big Bend Selection … two-time MVP for varsity volleyball at Maclay School … tabbed a four-year captain and a five-year varsity letter … was team leader in kills and digs … selected for FACA All-Star Game as a top player in her region.
"Jewel is a multi talented player who will be able to contribute to our program in both the front and back row," said Campbell. "Her major asset is her ball control— both with her serve receive in the back row, and with her range of shots while attacking the front row."
Megan Wall | 6-2 | MB | Adalfo Camarillo HS | Somis, Calif. | Reef Volleyball Club
Played middle blocker, outside hitter and opposite under head coach Rob Vandermay at Adolfo Camarillo HS … played at middle blocker for head coach Amy Dustin with Reef Volleyball Club from 2015 to present …chosen as 2017 All-Tournament team during the Global Challenge in Pula, Croatia … selected as team captain during her senior year … 2016 Southern California Volleyball Association High Performance team selection … part of USA Volleyball's High Performance team in 2014 and 2015.
"Megan is a tall, athletic middle hitter who's speed and quickness will help her make a rapid transition to the ACC," said Cambell. "She also has a very fast arm which will help her integrate into our offense quickly."
