BOSTON COLLEGE VS. PROVIDENCE - ALL-TIME SERIES

Boston College is 51-60 all-time in the series with Providence, dating back to the 1941-42 season.
This is the 112th meeting between the two programs - tied with Holy Cross as BC's most common opponent.
The two teams were charter members of the Big East Conference in 1979.
Last year, BC earned a 79-67 victory on Dec. 23, 2016 at Conte Forum.
The two teams have faced off in the non-conference for the last 11 seasons.
Boston College is 6-5 in those games.

Jerome Robinson - the top returning scorer in the ACC from a season ago - is averaging 25.5 points over his last two games.
The junior guard had 26 points last time out versus Colgate and 25 against La Salle this past Sunday.
For his career, Robinson has tallied 20 or more in a game on 20 occasions - including a league-best 17 times last season.
Nine times, the Raleigh, N.C. native has scored 25 points or more. BC is 5-4 in those games.

EAGLES OFF TO BEST START IN A DECADE

Boston College's 5-1 start to the season is the best since the 2007-08 season.
That year, the Eagles won their first five games before losing to Providence in overtime at the Boston Garden on Dec. 1, 2007.
Overall, BC opened the 2007-08 season winning seven of the team's first eight contests.

I LOVE THE 80'S

Boston College has scored 80 points or more in four of the first six games this season,
The Eagles are 4-0 in those games, tallying 85 points vs. Maine, 91 vs. S.C. State, 82 vs.La Salle, and 83 vs. Colgate.

THE JEROME ROBINSON 1,000 POINT WATCH IS UNDERWAY

Jerome Robinson currently has 958 career points and needs 42 more points to join the Boston College 1,000 Point Club.
Robinson would become the 42nd BC player to reach the milestone and first to do so since Olivier Hanlan (Feb. 26, 2014).

Ky Bowman had his streak of consecutive games with a 3-pointer snapped at 22 last time out vs. Colgate.
Today's game marks the first true road game in the non-conference for the Eagles since Dec. 9, 2015.
Boston College played at Providence in that game, falling to the Friars, 66-51.
Steffon Mitchell is one of five freshmen to rank in the top 15 in rebounding in the ACC (7.5 rpg).

BOWMAN NAMED TO HALL OF FAME TIPOFF ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM

Ky Bowman was named to the Naismith Bracket All-Tournament team at the Hall of Fame Tipoff Tournament.
In two games at Mohegan Sun Arena, the sophomore guard averaged 14.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.0 steals.
Through the four games of the MTE, Bowman averaged 15.0 points, 5.3 boards, 5.3 assists, and 1.2 steals with a team-high eight 3-pointers made as the Eagles posted a 3-1 record.

TEDDY WINDEX

Deontae (Teddy) Hawkins leads BC and is tied for second in the ACC in rebounding, pulling down 10.0 boards per game.
He is one of four players in the ACC to average double-digits in the rebounding column.
Last time out vs. Colgate, Hawkins grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds - his fourth double-digit rebounding total of the season.
The 6-8 grad transfer from Illinois State grabbed 15 rebounds vs. Maine, 13 against S.C. State, and 11 vs. La Salle.
He is the first BC player to log double-digit rebounds in consecutive games since Dennis Clifford had 10 and 13 in consecutive contests at Louisville (Feb. 6, 2016) and vs. UNC (Feb. 9, 2016), respectively.

CAREER-HIGH FOR POPOVIC VS. LA SALLE

Nik Popovic poured in a career-high 18 points last time out vs. La Salle, connecting on 8-of-12 from the floor.
He added seven boards, an assist, and a steal in 25 minutes vs. the Explorers.
His previous scoring high was 13, last set at Syracuse on Jan. 14, 2017.

ROBINSON SELECTED TO JERRY WEST AWARD NATIONAL WATCHLIST

Jerome Robinson is among 20 players nationally named to the 2018 Jerry West Award Preseason Watch List.
Announced by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Tuesday, Oct. 17, the Jerry West Award watch list recognizes the top 20 shooting guards in Division I men's college basketball.
Named after the Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer and 1959 NCAA Final Four MVP, the annual honor is now in its fourth year.
A national committee comprised of top college basketball personnel determined the watch list of 20 candidates.
The watch list will be narrowed to 10 in mid-Feb. and in March, five finalists will be announced.
The winner will be presented at the ESPN College Basketball Awards Show in Los Angeles on Friday, April 6, 2018.

DOUBLE IT UP FOR HAWKINS

Deontae Hawkins has posted two double-doubles in points and rebounds through five games in his Boston College career,
Last time out, Hawkins had 10 points and 11 rebounds against La Salle in the final game of the Hall of Fame Tipoff Tourney.
The graduate transfer registered 13 points (6-15 FG) and a career-high 15 boards in the season opener versus Maine.
Seven of his 15 boards game on the offensive glass, which helped BC to 19 second-chance points for the game.
It marked the fourth time that Hawkins had 15 rebounds in a game - the previous three coming when he played at Illinois State.
